The Sun Room is hiring! We are seeking a Stock Room Assistant to work closely with our Senior Operations Manager to unpack + process inventory and ensure timely distribution of product to Home + Lifestyle Boutique|Theretailaxis and Little Leaf.
The ideal candidate is a fast and efficient worker with high attention to detail and a strong work ethic. A successful Stock Room Assistant is a flexible team player looking to grow and improve the Sun Room’s daily operations. This position will report directly to the Director of Operations.
Stock Room Assistant responsibilities include:
- Receive and process new inventory in a timely manner
- Pack + sticker products to distribute to our shops in a timely + organized manner while ensuring accuracy and safety of inventory
- Physical coordination of inventory: receive, lift, move, and organize pallets, boxes, plants, and inventory throughout the Sun Room
- Oversee + load evening transfer pick-ups
- Assist with receiving plant deliveries
- Provide care to plants in the Sun Room to minimize inventory loss (watering / reorganizing approximately twice per week)
- Flexibility to receive transfers in shops during scheduled transfer times
- Keep the Sun Room clean + organized for venue tours and events
- Set and monitor traps for pest control
- Proactively strategize to find new tasks to improve workflow and organization of the Sun Room
Requirements and Position Details
- Full-time, hourly position with competitive benefits
- Flexible availability + commitment to working evenings, weekends and holidays a must
- Ability to lift 50 lbs required and to be on your feet throughout daily shifts
- Experience working in a warehouse required
